Manley Anthony Nicholson is the litigation partner as well as the partner with responsibility for the firm's practice development. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in Political Science and Economics from York University , Toronto , Canada and his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School , Toronto , Canada . Admitted to practice law by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1995, he remains a Barrister and Solicitor in Ontario , Canada and a member of the Canadian Bar Association with over 10 years of advocacy at the private bar. He obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Norman Manley Law School , Kingston , Jamaica , and was called to the Jamaican Bar in 1996 as an Attorney-at-Law.
Mr. Nicholson's current practice includes representation of multinational corporations, local financial institutions, representing insurance companies and claimants worldwide in personal injury and breach of contract claims, and debt actions both large and small. He has successfully represented clients in all the courts in Jamaica, winning sizeable awards for personal injury claimants, including a multi-million dollar award for a double leg amputation against a renowned Jamaican corporation; and as local counsel in a claim brought by an American Insurance Executive who was paralysed from a diving accident at the Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort in Rose Hall, Jamaica, that resulted in the largest ever personal injury settlement in the history of Florida.
Prior to embarking on the practice of law, Mr. Nicholson successfully operated for several years his own real estate company in Brampton , Ontario , Canada . Success driven, he is a consummate entrepreneur and a fearless advocate. Mr. Nicholson is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Jamaican Bar. He is a Director of the National Housing Development Corporation Limited (NHDC) and also a member of the Rotary Club of Kingston.
